D2.1 - Architecture Design Specification
D 2.1 describes the architectural design of the Demos@Work platform. It describes the architectural design of functional and technical building blocks that together will make Demos@Work.
***D2.2 - Demos@Work Basic Platform Description
The Demos@Work overarching objective is to facilitate European-wide discussion between elected representatives and civil society on emerging policy issues that have a potential impact on all countries within the European Union. The issue selected for this trial project is in the field of public health, more specifically, the harmful effects of smoking.
This will be achieved by configuring and putting into trial a secure, mobile environment through which elected representatives are able not only to engage with citizens on policy issues using a semantically enriched user-interface, but also to communicate and collaborate with their peers. Therefore, the focus of this project is mainly on citizens and politicians. D 2.2 describes the basic functionalities of the platform
D2.2 – Alpha release Demos@Work Installation guide
The Demos@Work software is delivered in almost ready-to-run virtual systems where all required software is already installed and configured. The amount of adaptation and change that is required locally is reduced to a minimum. This installation guide provides guidance to what needs to be done locally.
***D2.2 - Demos@Work StoryBoard
This report is part of the deliverable D2.2 and presents the storyboards of the Demos@Work solution. The term storyboard in this context means that the solution is described in series of scenarios that are implemented by the solution. The scenarios indicate the main actors – both human and machine – that play a part in the scripted processes.
D2.2 is primarily targeted to information and IT architects and serves as one of the guidelines in the design process. The use cases can be read by the target user group also as they describe the scenarios of their way of working.
D3.1 - Trials Scenarios Definition
The purpose of D3.1 is to explain the initial situation of the Demos@Work project as a basis for defining the system architecture, the first integrated prototype and the trials activities.
***D3.2 Demos@Work Basic Platform Deployment Result
The purpose of D 3.2 is to present the results obtained when using of the Basic version of the Demos@Work platform by the selected Parliaments (The National Parliament of Lithuania -SEIMAS and the Regional Parliament of Catalonia) and their constituencies from October 2008 –January 2009.
***D4.1 – User Requirements Report
D 4.1 refines the different categories of the Demos@Work end-users and presents in a high level their requirements. The methodology included interviews with the end-users as well as a thorough survey.
***D4.2 - Success Criteria Report
The purpose of D4.2 is to define both qualitative and quantitative elements that will be used as the basis for the final assessment of the project’s results. In more detail, the report presents parameters to be measured and metrics which will clearly demonstrate and assess the impact and benefits of Demos@Work.
***D4.3 - Methodology Report
The purpose of D 4.3 is to describe the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) methodology for the Demos@Work trial application in real life. Monitoring and evaluation (M&E) are essential to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the project and helps to improve performance and achieve results. Monitoring includes the collection of data and information by observation and measurement while the evaluation is the analysis of the data and information collected during the monitoring phase. This deliverable defines the data collection systems and methods that will be used to generate a continuous stream of information on whether performance indicators are being met. The aim of M&E is to validate metrics which will clearly demonstrate and measure the impact and benefits of Demos@Work. These metrics combine both quantitative and qualitative assessments.
***D5.1 – Project presentation
Demos@Work is a project co-financed under the 2007 eParticipation call which aims to facilitate European-wide discussion between elected representatives and civil society on emerging policy issues that have a potential impact on all countries within the European Union, by integrating already-created ICT-based eParticipation and eGovernment tools in a real-life implementation. The issue selected for this trial project is in the field of public health, more specifically, the harmful effects of smoking.
