There are many health-related reasons to give up cigarettes - not just for smokers, but to protect those around you.
The Austrian Tobacco Law needs developing aid: http://www.aerzteinitiative.at/Law-A09.html
I was a heavy smoker and an over-weight person!
When I finished my bachelor I decided to lose weight and start sports which was always a dream for me.
So I did and I made it to the football team of my municipality.
Loosing the extra weight had to do with me being physically fit for football practice but for my surprise it was not the only thing!
My coach said that if I want to make the difference I would have to quit smoking!
So I did... it was very difficult at the beginning. But now I can run without having chest pains or short breath.
Hey!
I think something very important is to think about the children here.
I am not a smoker and I don't intend to be one.
While my mom was pregnant with me, she used to smoke, for that reason I developed asthma as a kid.
Asthma as well as other similar lung-sicknesses are related to smoking...
So why jeopardize the health of our young ones?
Passive smoking is as dangerous as smoking itself!
Be responsible.
Prohibit smoking in all public places and people that do smoke, be sensitive!
I am an athlete and I am against smoking!
My best friend Terro is a smoker and I have been telling him for years to quit!
Everybody knows the reasons why you shouldnt smoke, so does he.
Most of all I see smoking as an addiction and no addiction is ever good.
I can go with smoking in public places, but still what about the other people that have to be with you while you chose to smoke, and not them?
This started to be an issue between the two of us and it really makes me think twice before going out with my childhood friend.
Hello everyone!
Last months I have been struggling with the idea of quitting or not!
For me it is all about the reasons behind it and do not want to quit because of all this anti-smoker fanatics yelling at you all the time
"YOU ARE KILLING YOURSELF" or "YOU ARE MAKE US SUFFER TOO" or you know, things like that!
I haven't made up my mind yet about smoking.
As I grew up in a home where both parents were and still are smokers,
I definitely didn't appreciate them smoking in our home, nor enjoyed it.
After living on my own while I was a student I became a social smoker for social reasons of course.
But I did quit social smoking after 3 years for 2 years at least and it was something that came to me naturally.
